Comp Care Credentialing Specialist

Description: Key Risk, a division of Berkley Insurance Company, a leading provider of workers compensation insurance products and services for employers throughout the Eastern United States, is accepting applications for the position of a Comp Care Credentialing Specialist for our Greensboro, North Carolina office.

 

 

 

Duties:Obtains all necessary information to perform credentialing and re-credentialing, confirm appropriate medical license status and public records from Board of Medical Examiners utilizing internet applications

Assist CompCare Manager in the recruitment and solicitation of new providers to join the network. 

Gather necessary providers' information using appropriate forms, phone interviews, mailings And internet research.

Maintain updated files on all network providers, ensuring timely re-credentialing and recruitment efforts as needed by the organization and or clients.

Establish and maintain diary system to insure network providers are re-credentialed on schedule.

Communicates with the business services unit for timely panel creation and follow up for new policies, internal and external for our clients.

Provide any other administrative assistance to CompCare Manager and/or Director of Managed Care to assure network quality and growth

 

Qualifications:

  •·         Two years workers' compensation or managed care experience preferred.

•·         Experience credentialing and/or licensing physicians and hospitals

•·         Well-developed computer skills to include AS400 and Microsoft Office applications including Excel.

•·         Demonstrate attention to detail oriented work involving initial and recredentialing of providers and provider panel creation.

•·         Demonstrate well-developed oral and written communication skills; evidence of self-motivation; and ability to perform duties of direct supervision.

•·         Display effective inter-personal skills with peers and with management and the ability to work in a team environment.
